Speaker Spotlight: Joanna Osawe
Women in IT Summit Canada
”I am looking forward to hearing all the sessions – as they all have compelling speakers and all panels are focused on diverse topics.”
Joanna Osawe, President and CEO, Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE)
Q1. Why have you joined the Women in IT Canada Summit?
I have joined the Women in IT Canada Summit – as the messaging is aligned with WiRE’s Women in Renewable Energy’s mission on Diversity Equity and Inclusion. “It showcases advocates, role models and allies in the industry and promotes the importance of inclusivity”
Q2. Why are you compelled to participate in Fireside Chat: Burnout of Shame or a badge or honor?
I am very happy to be moderating this panel as this pandemic has unraveled challenges especially being exhausted and the balance of work and life balance is a thin line, as most people have had to work from home. This session will explore what burnout means to you, what has worked well, life integration rather than balance etc.
Q3. What sessions are you most looking forward to? And why?
I am looking forward to hearing all the sessions – as they all have compelling speakers and all panels are focused on diverse topics.
Q4. Why should local and international professionals tune in for your session?
All the sessions and panelists have a story to share whether they are from Canada or internationally there is a lot of messaging that we can learn from each other. The topics being discussed are global topics that affect all of us
