Speaker Spotlight: Kathleen Stubbs
Women in IT Summit Asia
”Automating work practices and developing digital revenue streams takes diverse people, finding the right opportunity and a lot of patience.”
Kathleen Stubbs, Chief Information Officer Australasia, JLL Technologies
1. Why have you joined the Women in IT Asia Summit?
Joining the Women in IT Asia Summit provides me with an opportunity to share my IT experiences in a hope that other women will feel inspired and start their own IT journey. I was lucky enough to be raised by a family that advocated for equality and encouraged all of us to be the best we could be, however when I joined the workforce I learnt that women’s power was not equal. Women face behaviours and structures that perpetuate inequality and shape our careers, the WIT summit provides us with an opportunity to build allies and further the rise of women in IT.
2. Why are you compelled to participate in the PANEL DISCUSSION: Top 5 actions to ensure your Digital transformation doesn’t fail?
Some technologists believe that digital transformation is an evolutionary process and some believe it is a quick revolution, others even roll their eyes when people start talking about digital transformation. This is because they have already witnessed years of technology-enabled business change and fatigue is creeping in. Automating work practices and developing digital revenue streams takes diverse people, finding the right opportunity and a lot of patience.
3. What sessions are you most looking forward to and why?
I am looking forward to “Wellness hacks for IT leaders” as I would love to hear about the anti-diet strategy to achieve your weight goals.
4. Why should local and international professionals tune in for your session?
Firstly, the women on the panel are amazing and secondly, you will learn some actionable techniques and insights to get you on the path to success.
