A global citizen, Adriana started her career in Romania working for blue chip banks: Société Générale and UniCredit as a branch manager advising SMEs. In the midst of on ramping her career, she decided to move to Germany together with her husband and their 3 year old. She had to start all over again: back to school, graduating a full time MBA, and changing industry from fin to tech, while doing consulting projects in-between.

As a senior product manager for the leading German internet services provider, 1&1 IONOS, she started with productivity products, and now is responsible for the eCommerce portfolio in 8 markets. At 1&1 IONOS she discovered her new hobby: building products for businesses she used to advice in the first part of her career.

Sandra Healy is Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Dublin City University. Before moving to DCU, Sandra held a number of leadership positions spanning 20 years in the telecoms industry across both the UK and Ireland; the most recent being Head of Customer Delivery for Vodafone Ireland. Sandra holds an Honours Degree in Psychology and First Class Masters in Organisational Psychology. Over the past ten years Sandra has championed and driven Diversity and Inclusion practice in Irish Industry and contributes to the work of the Ibec Diversity Forum, CWIT and 30% Club Ireland.
Deborrah Boehmisch

Deborrah, has a career spanning more than 2 decades of technology leadership, she has spent significant time in the confluence of IT with engineering and product development enabling multiple product rollouts in the transportation and automotive business. She has built and led global delivery teams across multiple countries, cultures & supplier and is currently driving convergence and rationalization in a highly complex and heavily customized environment and is a champion of efficiency and effectiveness.

Joanne Thurlow is currently Head of IT for Siemens Solutions, a Siemens portfolio company. Her current role’s scope on end-to-end service delivery to 6500 employees in 42 countries and across seven vertical markets. Focus is on IT service delivery, enabling a global engineering environment for large scale projects while orchestrating internal IT digital transformation.

Joanne’s career began in Canada over 30 years ago, and has spanned multiple roles, organizations, and countries. Joanne has experienced many challenges and rewards on route. Through creative problem solving and inspiring leadership, she commits to delivering beyond expectations by finding the right solution, at the right time with maximum efficiency.

Working with global teams, Joanne understands the key to success is the empowerment of each team member. Marguerite de Tavernost is an investor at e.ventures, a global VC fund with more than $1bn under management. e.ventures‘ portfolio companies include Sonos, Farfetch, TheRealReal, Bird, Groupon, and Segment. Marguerite leads e.ventures‘ efforts in France, focusing on early stage companies and with a particular interest in consumer deals.

Marie-Josée is passionate about delivering business results by transforming organizations and leveraging digital technologies. She managed back to profitability a product line with revenues over 100 million €. She improved by 75% the stability of a full IT environment serving 100 000+ employees. 

Her areas of focus include Digitalization, Analytics and Strategic IT Management.   Marie-Josée is originally from Québec City, Canada, and is now based in Stockholm, Sweden. Marie-Josee has led teams in North America, Europe and Asia.  She holds an MBA in IT Management and a BSc in Electrical Engineering.

Naseem Quraishi Larsson, CEO of Digital Story Masters has a vast experience as a Management Consultant in the Corporate world, working with the worlds largest leading brands such as IBM and Astra Zeneca in their transformation.
She also worked in management roles in IBM during a period of large global transformation and was part of top strategic global leadership teams. She shares her experience in a book about Global leadership, and is a sought after inspirational speaker. She believes that with a creative and ambitious mindset you can do anything you want and have a big impact in society.   The last 10 years she has been working with startups, entrepreneurs, professionals and those on a digital transformation journey in their marketing, She has written and published management books as well as novels, produces films and is also a professional photographer.   She is passionate about storytelling and all the artistic methods that tell the story, including music, visuals, rhetorics and creative writing so that people can feel and understand the message.  
Sarah Opitz

After completing her A-levels in Germany, Sarah opted for a year of studies in the UK. This led to a total of 9 years doing degrees in business administration and international management at the University of Essex. While completing a PhD, Sarah worked as a graduate teaching assistant, also gaining experience as a marketing intern at Oracle headquarters in San Francisco, CA.

She moved back to Germany to become a Key Account Manager eCommerce at Arvato (Bertelsmann Group). Appreciating the opportunities and also understanding the restrictions of working for a global company, 2017 was all about going „back to the roots“. Growing up with a family business, she took the chance to accept responsibility as member of the executive board, taking care of Investor and Alliance Relations as well as  preparing and strengthening OPITZ CONSULTING GmbH for the next years to come. Understanding that successful leadership is rarely a one-man-show, in 2019 she and three colleagues teamed up to become managing directors of OPITZ CONSULTING Deutschland GmbH. The four of them bring in and combine their various qualities, skills and expertise to encourage and foster innovation, changeability and business excellence throughout the organisation: from mindset, to strategy, to operations.

Annie is convinced that the digitalisation of business processes and the proactive use of new tech such as AI and Cognitive Automation are key elements for sustainable performance and competitive advantage in future. During her career she was a key member in different teams implementing various software like BPCS, JBA, SAP, and her lately project Salesforce which brought her to the role of Head of Digital Transformation. Her ability to quickly learn new things and not being afraid of going out of her comfort zone and start from zero reflects the path of her career.

As a Senior Manager in Analytics and Digital Integration, Nahia Orduna leads a team which empowers data strategy across Vodafone Business Commercial & Operations by accelerating quality decision-making based on facts and insights. She is a Telecommunication Engineer holding MBA. Nahia is a firm believer that technology improves the world and that the impact of digitalisation in our lives is extremely positive. She has been working in the last 15+ years in companies which are connecting the world and driving this change, such as Cisco Systems or Vodafone. She started her career in Spain, where she is originally from, she moved to the Netherlands and now she is based in Germany.

She believes that we will all live in a better society if we all use our talents and skills. That is why she likes to mentor and coach people into getting more data and digital skills. She is also leading as EMEA Program Manager Women in Big Data, an industry-driven global organisation which wants to encourage diversity in the Big Data field. She participates in conferences and events worldwide where she talks around cognitive diversity, AI, digital transformation and the power of data. You can read her thoughts on the need of a diverse workforce in AI-driven companies in this article for the World Economic Forum agenda.

She will be talking around the social impacts of new technologies, highlighting the new opportunities in the tech revolution.

Hanna Kopcke

Dr. Hanna Köpcke is co-founder and CTO of Webdata Solutions. She is a renowned expert in the field of product data matching based on learning algorithms. For this reason, Hanna has been appointed, together with other innovative leaders from research labs and companies, as a member of the steering circle of the German Government - „Platform Learning Systems“. The goal of the circle is to establish future technologies and to strengthen the German economy by supporting and accelerating the process of digitization.

Furthermore, Dr. Köpcke is networking with other data mining and big data researchers worldwide. She is well connected with our research partners DFKI and the Competence Center for Scalable Data Services and Solutions at Leipzig University. Additionally, she is a member of the German Computer Science Society. Since her early childhood, Hanna was passionate about IT. After studying Computer Science at the TU Dortmund University, she deepened her expertise as a research assistant at the Artificial Intelligence Group. Later she headed the working group “Object Matching” at the WDI-Lab of the University of Leipzig. This is where the idea for blackbee was born.

Maria built her career on a deep understanding of how technology and innovative products can transform the life of customers and enterprises. She is passionate about people development and diversity. Theresa Tran is a data scientist at Lufthansa Industry Solutions. She enjoys transforming meaningless data into meaningful insights that make work processes more efficient. She experienced first-hand that the best machine learning model is pointless if the user does not trust it. Theresa believes that trust arises from understanding. She used her master's thesis to investigate different approaches to make machine learning models more interpretable. For her work she was awarded with the Women's STEM Award and the Datenlotsen Award.
