FIT - The ICT Talent Pipeline
Fastrack into Information Technology (FIT CLG) is a not-for-profit, industry-led organisation. FIT’s core mission is to promote an inclusive Smart Economy by creating a fast track to marketable technical skills for those at risk in Ireland’s labour market. FIT is Ireland’s National Coordinator for the country’s first ICT Tech Apprenticeships in Software Development and Network Engineering. It has pioneered its own methodology for working with employers to understand their skills requirements through granular analysis of the skills, knowledge and competencies required, and is the primary industry skills development initiative in the country.
National Women's Council of Ireland
NWCI is the leading national women’s membership organisation founded in 1973. 2018 has been a monumental year for NWCI. Our Director, Orla O’Connor was one of three Co-Directors of Together for Yes, the women’s led campaign to repeal the Eighth Amendment ensuring reproductive rights for women in Ireland. NWCI helped to lay the foundations for Together for Yes. We represent over 180 organisations and individuals from a diversity of backgrounds, sectors and locations across Ireland. Many of our group members come from the Tech sector including the Women’s Equality Network in Symantec, Women in Tech & Science WITS, and Fastrack into Tech. Together we support and learn from each other as well as campaign on improving Women’s Equality in the workplace, apprenticeship, leadership and NWCI’s wider campaigns on Women on Boards, Politics, Care.
